PIN-Based IVR

PIN-based IVR (Interactive voice response) allows for calls to be passed through a pre-set PIN prompt before being routed through to an extension.

This could be useful in certain instances, for example, having an emergency out of hours line that only certain customers have the PIN for.

Creating a PIN Based IVR:

  • PIN:

Select a PIN for the IVR – this is the PIN that the caller will need to enter in to make a call through the IVR.

(ex. 8665)

  • Description:

IVR PIN short description

  • Expiry date:

PIN expiry date

(ex. 16/07/2021)

  • Destination:

Destination dialled once the IVR PIN is provided

(ex. Sales ring group – 401)

TIP:

If the item is greyed out and the ‘Expiry date’ field underlined on the overall dashboard, that PIN has expired.
